Make Yourself at Home

Upon there first visit to our office prospective patients remark how “homey, clean, and organized our office is. One of our many goals is to offer a friendly, non- hospital, welcome home, atmosphere for the comfort of our patients. Coffee table books, holiday decorations and fresh flowers are a favorite to all. There is plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot. Plenty of shops are available for visiting during their walk after their adjustment.

What to expect on your first visit

Each patient is welcomed by first name and a double handed hand shake. "Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help you." Introductions are made to available staff. After insurance information and paper work is completed the patient is explained the purpose of consultation, examination and x-ray. A tour of the office is given and the patient is greeted by the attending physician. The patient is given a one hour appointment for their report of findings. (an adjustment is given only if the patient is in emergency situation). Upon leaving the office the patient is given a new patient packet containing chiropractic education materials and gift coupons for health and beauty facilities.

Dr. Swink Asks some important questions of interest to Goleta residents - Chiropractor Goleta Dr. Swink Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
